Yesterday, The Annual Informatics Award located in Kuwait country announced that in a conference the winners with AlSabah awards for informatics in its round 16th, Swift Braille project represented Palestine in this award with other private company!
In August of this year (2016), the Swift Braille project has been selected with other 6 mobile apps as a best projects in Palestine for inclusion and empowering category, therefor, they nominated to represent Palestine to a world wide competition called WSA (World Summit Award), and some of other apps (including SwiftBraille) has been nominated to represent Palestine to AlSabah award 2016.
Yesterday, Mr. Bassam AlShammari – the president of the organizing committee announced the winners projects of seven Arabs countries in both private and government sectors, and Palestine won with two awards including SwiftBraille, in a conference at 10:00 AM from Kuwait.
As always, we have a big thanks should be said to all those people behind the success of this project, to all those blind and visually impaired who giving the trust of the project and helping to make it better and better! I would like to give a special thanks to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Palestine, and the initiative of WSA-Palestine for their efforts and support. Updates: Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it to attend to the big ceremony in 21-11-2016 in Kuwait country because of the siege that forced around Gaza and closed borders, but the Palestinian embassy represented me and Palestine with the award by the ambassador himself!
